Description

High-Performance Thermal Imaging in a Compact Core

The SmartIR Thermal Core from Exosens sets a new standard for compact, lightweight, and low-power thermal imaging. Engineered for OEMs and system integrators, SmartIR cores provide reliable and precise thermal detection in the Long Wave Infrared (8–14 μm) spectrum. Its compact footprint and featherweight design allow seamless integration into UAVs, UGVs, handheld devices, and embedded systems without compromising image quality or operational efficiency.

Versatile Configurations for OEM Applications

Available in VGA 640×480 and higher-resolution 1024×768 formats, the SmartIR core delivers high frame rates of up to 60 Hz, ensuring smooth thermal imaging for both real-time monitoring and automated processing. Its 17 µm pixel pitch and NETD of <40 mK (<30 mK on select models) provide excellent sensitivity, capturing subtle temperature variations across diverse environments. The SmartIR’s low power consumption (<1.3 W for 640, <2.5 W for 1024) supports extended operation in battery-powered platforms.

Seamless Integration and Wide Application Range

SmartIR cores come with free SDK and GUI tools for rapid system integration. Flexible output options, including CL, SDI, Analog, and DF40, allow compatibility with a broad range of hardware and software ecosystems. Their industrial-grade qualification ensures dependable performance in extreme temperatures (-40°C to +70°C) and challenging field conditions.

SmartIR thermal cores are ideal for defense and surveillance, armored vehicle systems, UAVs and unmanned platforms, law enforcement, border and maritime monitoring, search and rescue operations, life sciences, industrial inspection, firefighting, and power grid maintenance.
