INTEGRYS LIMITED….A growth oriented premier supplier specializing in the supply of rugged/embedded computer platforms, turn-key machine vision and video processing systems and integration of application specific hardware/software solutions for the industrial, military, aerospace, medical and telecom markets has an immediate opening in its Mississauga head office.
The successful applicant must have working knowledge of Computer/Machine Vision technology, including vision-oriented lighting, optics, triggering/synchronization and image processing techniques. The successful applicant will also have basic knowledge of defect detection/inspection, optical metrology, quality control concepts and industrial automation control technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work within small engineering team and coordinate with the sales team to support customer requirements
- Working with technical sales team on pre and post sales support
- Develop custom turn-key computer vision systems to meet customer requirements, most usually in a manufacturing environment
- Develop vision demonstrations for potential customers or for exhibition show
- Be able to do laboratory test or research such as illumination testing, algorithm testing, based on currently available cameras, sensors, lenses, software packages, to generate feasibility study
- Generate documentation to support finding of the study, user manual, and proposal
- Create software in C++, C# or VB using MS Visual Studio
- Be able to work in field with process engineer or quality control engineer from customer side
- Provide technical training to customers on both custom developed Machine Vision systems and on complex hardware and software solutions sold by the company
- Provide technical support to existing customers with systems in the field
- Travel of up to 10% may be required
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Engineering Physics or Mechatronics Engineering is required; Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science may be advantageous
- Minimum 3-year relevant working experience
- Understanding of Machine Vision Camera technology, Optics and Lighting is a requirement
- Demonstrated trouble shooting skills for timely resolution of industrial problems
- Experience in development and implementation of software for manufacturing automation and/or Quality Control/Inspection applications
- Working knowledge of CAD software (Solidworks or AutoCAD) is an asset
- Embedded computer and software systems knowledge is an asset
- Familiarity with Matrox DA, Matrox MIL, Cognex, Keyence vision software is an asset
- Fluent in spoken and written English is a must
- Valid Drivers License would be an asset

Salary: $60,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year
